Just when things were starting to look good for the Lakers. Kobe Bryant sprains his ankle, in the Lakers loss against the Atlanta Hawks, this past Wednesday, 3/13/2013. This couldn’t have happened at a worse time. Not only are the Lakers finally making progress at climbing their way into the Playoffs, Kobe is also trying to add to his legacy in his 17th season in the NBA.
Will Kobe do what he’s done all of these years, and just play through this injury? Knowing how Kobe is, he will most likely opt for doing this, if he feels he can.
If he does decide to just let the injury take its course, will he come back the same? Kobe has been playing some amazing basketball lately. Many have even said that this is unheard of, to be playing at this level, after 17 years in the league. Some have even gone as far as questioning if he is even from this planet. Regardless, I guess all Lakers fans can do is hope that he is ok, and that he can come back at the same level.
Kobe was furious after the game. He tweeted after the Wednesday night game against the Hawks:
“#dangerousplay that should have been called. Period.”
“@Thadeacon I respectfully disagree. He knows what he did and anyone with half a brain can see it. I dont want it to happen to anyone else!”
Kobe Re-Tweets @Wells_P
“@Wells_P: @kobebryant not the first time he’s tried to hurt you. youtube.com/watch? v=Z6BWYM…” Its all good. Hawks played well. #respect
